HAPPY BIRTHDAY METAL FLAKES!! Metal Flakes became an offical web site on July 8th one year ago. To celebrate her birthday we are going to have a one hour "post or bust" session. This is to begin July 7th at 12:00 p.m. board time. Try to make it, and think of some interesting things to throw in the mix.We must also celebrate the birth of our newest Flaker. Oscar was blessed by the stork on June 10th with a son.
On the boards we launched a new forum, Deadly Fortified Flakes. This forum is for our Death Metal fans who wanted their own home on the site. This forum is under development and hopefully will become a deadly success. The new forum is being hosted by "sinister death machine" and co-hosted by "Razorhead".
Please remember to welcome our newest board members, most have traveled here to participate in the newly opened Deadly Fortified Flakes for our Death Metal fans. They are: HeatherMetal, ANTI, Aaron, Bogey, Nazareen, Slut Named Star, Wildman111, Woman From Tokyo and DR. LECTER. There are some other new members, but they haven't posted yet and therefore have not been included in THIS issue.
In Metal News
We cannot possibly report all the metal news going on nor assure that it is true, that's what the boards are for and of course the rest of the net. However the biggest stories sweeping the Metal Flakes boards right now are:
Rob Halford's Resurrection
Probably the biggest buzz on the boards is the upcoming release from Rob Halford. To be titled "Resurrection" and due out around August 8th. There are sound clips available at www.immortalsin.com for download. Looks and sounds to be quite the jump back on the Metal wagon….um….or should I say Harley? Tour dates are being released with Queensryche and Iron Maiden on the bill. The tour is to kick off August 1st in North America, at Madison Square Garden on Aug 5th, ALREADY SOLD OUT!!! You can find more information regarding "Resurrection" and the tour at www.two-online.com, www.immortalsin.com , www.ironmaiden.com and www.metal-is.com

Motorhead, Nashville Pussy & Supersuckers Sweep Across the Southern States
The next biggest buzz around the boards has to be all the recent attendance to this tour by board members. Some are going, some have interviewed Lemmy, some have cruised the band around in their cars, some have photographed them, and some just hung out and partied. Read about these personal glimpses on the boards and be sure to catch the tour when it comes to your town!! Just remember your earplugs!!!!
JJoker's Corner A group of girlfriends are on vacation when they see a 5-story hotel with a sign that reads: "For Women Only". Since they are without their boyfriends and husbands, they decide to go in.
The bouncer, a very attractive guy, explains to them how it works. "We have 5 floors. Go up floor by floor, and once you find what you are looking for, you can stay there. It's easy to decide since each floor has a sign telling you what's inside."
So they start going up and on the first floor the sign reads: "All the men on this floor are short and plain." The friends laugh and without hesitation move on to the next floor.
The sign on the second floor reads: "All the men here are short and handsome." Still, this isn't good enough, so the friends continue on up.
They reach the third floor and the sign reads: "All the men here are tall and plain."
They still want to do better, and so, knowing there are still two floors left, they continued on up.
On the fourth floor, the sign is perfect: "All the men here are tall and handsome." The women get all excited and are going in when they realize that there is still one floor left. Wondering what they are missing, they head on up to the fifth floor.
There they find a sign that reads: "There are no men here. This floor was built only to prove that there is no way to please a woman."
