In Flake News

We are working on "Fall Flake Fest 2000"! This one will be held in the Virginia area . We will be taking in a concert at Jaxx. This show will feature Saxon as a headliner and Udo as an opener. The show is the night of October 26th. There are other get togethers taking place other than at the show around that time. Please email us for details if you are interested or if you can provide rooming and/or transportation to those making the trip. This one looks to be a big gathering.

Flake Encounters

Two of our flakes met up for a Halford, Oueensryche & Iron Maiden show. Leather Rebel made her way up to visit Metal Maid, who made the Vegas get together earlier this year. Leather Rebel spent some time with Rob and her book she has worked very hard on collecting photos for. Hopefully she and Metal Maid have photos of themselves together they can share with us.

Also getting together recently were Doozy, Rocker For Life and meathead.

Here are Little Miss meathead, meathead, Rocker For Life and Mr. Doozy.

Now WHERE is Doozy? Um...behind the camera.

In Metal News

We cannot possibly report all the metal news going on nor assure that it is true, that's what the boards are for and of course the rest of the net. However the biggest stories sweeping the Metal Flakes boards right now are:

Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne Have Started A New Label
Ozzy has become quite the innovator in getting new music to the masses. Each year his Ozzfest travels around introducing new talent to crowds of people who would otherwise possibly never hear them. While more seasoned artists get the evening spotlights, Ozzy is giving the newcomers on the scene a shot at broadening their fan bases. In recent developments he and Sharon have started their own label, Divine Recordings, check it out here www.divinerecordings.com. One of the bands they have on their label is Slaves On Dope. Metal Flakes has been asked to do an email interview with the band to later be placed on the site and featured in the next newsletter. You may submit any questions you have for the band to our email link at the bottom of this page. If you are not familiar with Slaves On Dope, check out their official web site at www.slavesondope.com You may get familiar with their sound as there are down loads available on their site. The official CD release is to be October 3rd.

While aiding the younger generation of artists, Divine Recordings will also be releasing a CD from metal veteran, Tony Iommi, October 10, simply titled "Iommi" This is the Heavy Metal answer to Carlos Santana's "Supernatural". Iommi has a wide range of differently styled vocalists guesting on this release. These include Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Ian Astbury (The Cult), Henry Rollins, Billy Corgan, Phil Anselmo, Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Skin (Skunk Anasie), Billy Idol, Peter Steele (Type O Negative) and of course Ozzy himself. Some radio stations are already playing "Goodbye Lament" which is the track Grohl guests on. I have a copy of this CD and I must say, you WANT to check this out. Also visit Tony's web site to learn more about his solo works or tune into VH1's Rock Show September 29th as he will be a featured guest.

JJoker's Corner

One night, as a couple laid down for bed, the husband gently tapped his wife on the shoulder and started rubbing her arm. The wife turned over and said, "I'm sorry, honey, I've got a Gynecologist appointment tomorrow."

The husband, rejected, turned over and tried to sleep. Later, he rolled back over and tapped his wife again. This time he whispered in her ear, "Do you have a dentist appointment tomorrow, too?"

Mike and Maureen landed on Mars after accumulating enough frequent flier miles. They met a Martian couple and were talking about all sorts of things. Mike asked if Mars had a stock market, if they had laptop computers, and how they made money,

Finally, Maureen brought up the subject of sex. "Just how do you guys do it?" asked Maureen.

The male Martian responded, "Pretty much the way you do."

A discussion ensued, and finally the couples decided to swap partners for the night. Maureen and the male Martian went off to a bedroom where the Martian stripped. Maureen was disappointed to find that he had a teeny weeny member, about half an inch long and just a quarter inch thick.

"I don't think this is going to work," said Maureen.

"Why?" he asked. "What's the matter?"

"Well," she replied, "it's just not long enough to reach me!"

"No problem," he said, and proceeded to slap his forehead with his palm. With each slap, his member grew until it was impressively long.

"Well," she said, "that's quite impressive, but it's still pretty narrow."

"No problem," he said, and started pulling his ears. With each pull, his member grew wider and wider.

"Wow!" she exclaimed. They fell into bed and made mad, passionate love.

The next day, the couples joined their normal partners and went their separate ways. As they walked along, Mike asked, "Well, was it any good?".

"I hate to say it," said Maureen, "but it was pretty wonderful. How about you?"

"It was horrible," he replied. "All I got was a headache. She kept slapping my forehead and pulling my ears."
